AD Elektrani na Makedonija – Skopje was established upon the Decision of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia no. 19-2626/1 dated 30.6.2005, by restructuring Elektrostopanstvo na Makedonija, a joint-stock company for production, distribution and supply of electricity in state ownership, Skopje, via spin-off and establishment of a new company for production of electricity.
The Company was registered in the trading registry of the Basic Court Skopje 1 Skopje, under T. reg. no. 5020/05 on 9.9.2005.
The Company operates and participates in the legal relations with other entities under the name of Joint-stock company for production of electricity Elektrani na Makedonija in state ownership, Skopje. In its legal relations, the Company also uses its shorter name A.D. Elektrani na Makedonija in state ownership, Skopje.
The Company’s short name is AD ELEM – Skopje.
The registered offices of the Company are in Skopje, on 11 Oktomvri St., no. 9.
The basic activity of the Company is production of electricity, which is an activity of public interest. Upon Decision no. 02-1391/1 dated 18.11.2005, AD ELEM obtained its license for carrying out the activity of electricity production.
The period of validity of the license is 35 years and it expires on November 1, 2040.
On 20 March 2006, upon Decision 02-410 of the Energy Regulatory Committee of the Republic of Macedonia, AD ELEM was granted a license allowing its subsidiary Energetika – Skopje to carry out the following activities:

The basic capital of the Company amounts to 31,738,878,000.00 denars (thirty one billion seven hundred thirty eight million and eight hundred seventy eight thousand denars) or 517,818,006.800 EUR as per the average exchange rate of the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia published one day prior to the adoption of the Charter.
The basic capital of the Company is divided into 31,738,878 ordinary bearer shares, with a nominal value of 1,000 (one thousand) denars per share
